Free Burger Friday is Back
Back in 2019, we started Free Burger Friday for a pretty simple reason. We wanted an excuse to hang out during the summer.
The idea was easy enough. Fire up the grill outside the warehouse, cook burgers, and see who was willing to ditch work early or make the drive over to spend a Friday afternoon with us.
So that’s what we did.
And somehow it turned into one of our favorite VG traditions.
Every summer we get to see old friends, meet new people, talk hockey, tell stories, and slow things down for a couple hours. No big agenda. No catch. Just good people hanging around the clubhouse eating burgers together.
Our grill master Dean has become a huge part of it too. He cooks every burger to order and somehow manages to greet everyone with a smile while working the grill in the summer heat.
Free Burger Friday feels like exactly what VGHC is supposed to be. Community. Friendship. Hanging out. Having fun.
It’s one of those events you just have to experience for yourself.
And yes, the burgers are good.
