Anaheim Ducks x Violent Gentlemen Merch Pop Up - Thursday, March 14
Sometime around 2010 we were selling bootleg gear in the Honda Center parking lot. We were season ticket holders and fanatical about the game. Some things never change. These bootlegs were designs we felt the fans needed. WE needed. We didn’t know any better, we just didn’t think there was anything readily available that spoke to us. One night while casually selling some pieces in the parking lot a nice gentlemen rolled up and said “hey, what do ya have there?” I proudly displayed our design of the night and he said “Cool, I’ll take them all” as he flashed his Sheriffs badge. In hindsight, we were lucky they let us off with a warning and allowed us to turnover stock and head into the game. That same stock somehow ended up in the hands of some front office folks for the team and a beautiful relationship was started.
Since then, we’ve helped the club with countless products from apparel to content etc. This season you’ve seen all types of pieces from us in the store. Some of it is basics, just team logos carefully placed, to match up tees with opponents, and our favorite for the pop up…General Manager Pat Verbeek cracking an ice-cold White Monster while about to unleash hell on the NHL via his scouting team’s picks.
For this playoff run they offered us something really special…selling shirts in the parking lot again but LEGALLY. Zero Sheriffs will be necessary except for helping with the line hopefully. (also, we’re not actually selling them, they are) BUT it’s our tents, our name, and our dreams realized via screen prints and embroideries on high end garments. I’d love to say it’s exactly as we dreamt it but it’s truly so much more than that. We never thought it could be like. It may have taken 15 years but we’re bringing hockey fans exactly what we dreamt of. The best possible, well thought out products for the best fans in sports. Once again available in the parking lot as the best things are. Please stop by Lot 2 before Game 6 Thursday night and take a look. We’d love to see you there…
